How many times do people get groceries with plastic bags, go home, unload, and throw away bag? Maybe if they have to pay for it, they may think twice and possibly recycle or re-use, or somethingggggggggg, better than just straight to the trash like now.

I keep the bags in this container, on one of the doors of my kitchen cabinets:
Everytime I go to the store, I put the bags in there. Then we mainly use the bags for garbage bags for the bathrooms. I also use the bags to take my lunch to work.
My dad has ALWAYS used them as garbage bags for 2 reasons.....1) He doesn't want to spend money on bags when they are being given away, and 2) If you use smaller bags, you have to change the garbage more often, and almost never have to tolerate any smells where you trash is kept. Ifyou have larger bags, sometimes you throw something in at the bottom, and them smell starts to grow as the bag fills up.
See, we here are somewhat proactive, but do you think the rest of the world really is?
^ The rest of the world cannot afford to consume near as much as we do and does not produce near as much waste.
And?
We're supposed to feel guilty because we live in a decent country with a higher standard of living?
If it bothers you that much go live in East Astonia or something.

And what? It's a simple statement of fact.

What? I certainly would never wish anyone ever feel guilty for success. I certainly don't and I have no idea why you'd think I do. I think I actually feel the exact opposite of guilty; I am one of the least modest people you'll meet. You've clearly labeled me as something in your head and don't actually bother to read my posts anymore.
