That's not bad if you still run filament bulbs.
With the price of HID kits these days, who's still running halogen bulbs?

I don't like most aftermarket HID setups. Yet to see one that's any better than a good quality bulb. Short of your car coming with HID's or doing a retrofit, there's no real advantage to HID's.
Just about ALL after-market HID kits are illegal for road use, so they are a pain in the ass come inspection time and unless your car has projector headlights, an HID kit will pretty much just call police attention to your ride with all the glare.
The HID kit I've run for years in my 3rd gen is 1,000 times better than any halogen bulb and there is just about no glare.
And yes, I've been driving the opposite direction as my car at night to witness the light coming from the car.
I have both, and my Halogens are Nighthawks.... I really like them, but for $16.99.. Pass... I paid under $15 from an auto supply store here, no waiting.
I really like the Sylvania Silverstars, but they've had a habit of burning out on me sadly.

You paid under $15 for a PAIR of nighthawks? Hell, bro... Get me some.
So it had no bearing whatsoever on how good a deal this may be RIGHT NOW?
Why do you even post sometimes?
Jackass...
If I could have gotten that price again, it would have cost more with shipping anyhow. It's also a not-so-subtle way of saying you can get good deals if you hoof it to places or even call around first.

For my Mazda6, it's almost mandatory to put HIDs in. The light output from the halogen projectors is dismal. My '01 Altima halogens were better. Putting in HIDs madea huge difference, but even with a 55 watt HID kit, the output is not as bright as some OEM setups. The Mazda 6 housing just plain sucks.

Isn't there a NHTSA or ISA standard that housings have to meet with regards to reflectivity?
If the problem is that bad, I'd think that there might be a recall or something...

As are CAIs, exhausts, headers, etc etc etc, but what's ever stopped us before?!
I tried to search around amazon and couldn't find the GE Nighthawk deal. I found some nighthawks, but they weren't on sale, or at least not as cheap as you got them. What am I doing wrong?
