I was always a casual coffee drinker having it on occassion but this year I'm having on average 2 cupscups of coffee a day. I LOVE the caffeine rush I get in the morning and I feel addicted to it now...LOL.
At home I drink spanish coffee, Bustello. It's strong and I boil the milk with it. Sooo good.
But when I buy it, I find Mc'Ds coffee to be the best. Followed by Dunkin Donuts. Starbucks is coffee for the non-coffee drinker.
I drink an 18 oz. thermos/cup of Cairbou blend every day, I brew it myself at home. I like it better than the special kinds of coffee (sumatra, columbia, harrar, etc.).
I've cut down alot in recent years. I used to drink a pot or more of the shitty stuff at work every day. Now I just have my 18 oz. and I'm done for the day.
Dunno about McD's coffee. I've had their mochas which have actually gotten pretty decent. I've never had Dunkin' Donut coffee though.
I love coffee though, definitely my one and only love/vice!
dunkin's donuts and mcdonalds, they are both good! I really only get hot coffee from dunkins but I go to both for iced. most of the time, I just drink the free stuff at work (not that great but it's free). You ever have Cafe Du Monde coffee? it's a chicory flavor that's pretty good
Unless I brew Dunkin beans at home, Dunkin at the store is hit or miss.... especially at night. I've had so many burnt/bitter cups of coffee at Dunkin at night that, when I go with friends, I get tea instead. When I had Dunkin up in Three Rivers, Canada, (town half way between Quebec and Montreal) I got a burnt cup of coffee. When I got a cup of Dunkin in Miraflores (Lima, Peru) besides being a piss sized cup for a small, it was burnt.
I love Caribou during the times when I was in Minneapolis. I love Tim Horton's when I was in Quebec and Montreal.

I used to hate McD's coffee, but they seem to have recently changed it (at least up here in Canada) and I now buy coffee from there often (ie. when I'm getting McD's breakfast).

I'd have to agree, Caribou is better than Starbucks out here.
You lived in Mpls. before, or just visited?
When you brew, do you drip brew or use a french press?
At the office we have a industrial drip machine but after having a cup using a fresh press, I'm spoiled and want to get one. But until I get serious about my coffee I'm sticking with the free stuff at work.

Dunkies coffee is better than Caribou I think. Though I havn't had Caribou brewed at home yet. And the Caribou stores remind me of some weird combination of starbucks and dunkin donuts.

I do stove top perk (old school) when I need to make more than 1 cup,
If you're going to start brewing your own coffee, I also suggest buying whole beans and a basic bean grinder. The stove top perk and coffee press work best with course ground. Most pre-ground coffee is too fine.

I wish there were Caribou's here in NY. I like their decor. It feels warm, inviting, home'y. Dunkin just seems like fast food.
I always hear people talk about Dunkin Donuts coffee, I am going to have to try it now just to see what the fuss is. Is it better home brewed, or directly from the donut shop?
I don't get the french press thing either. I've got one but I don't usually use it because I like the brewed taste better. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or something.

I don't know if there really is anything better or worse about it. It's probably just because I'm from New England and its what I'm used to. Then again I miss the retard strength coffee from my last job in a diner. It was like the coffee was brewed with coffee then had water boiled off to make it a stronger concentration of coffee.
