Getting scammed on Craigslist

Dude just offered me $260 for my $200 NFL shop gift certificate if I agree to cash a $1500 check and send him the difference. I told him I'd do it if he agreed to give me $650 for it and he "reluctantly" agreed...

I just replied back saying that since tomorrow is a bank holiday, I could only hold the gift certificate for him if he agreed to give me all $1500 and send me a check for $2000 instead and I'd send him back the remaining $500.

I just "reminded" him that the sales page stated paypal or cash only.... and that I would be happy to get his stuff to him as soon as the funds reach my paypal account or a wad of cash shows up in my mail box.

Meh... Dude's got no sense of humor. Didn't even have the decency to reply with a "no" or a "I'll think about it".

As if scammers were busy people. sheesh.
