The guy keeps asking the same quesion over and over, keeps getting the same answer over and over, and they keep insisting on the same thing. Yeah, things are different....twitter, facebook, etc, these are all new modes of technology that didn't exist 20 years ago let alone 100 years ago, so yeah, things are different. Questions are gonna be screened no matter what.
Seriously.....come on. I know I know, its the whole concept, and the control of the media, blah blah blah blah blah....
I expected to see another spat with Major Garrett. Surprised to see Helen get into it too.
Gibbs talks in circles seems to switch to a condescending tone when trying to answer a tough question.

The MSM will never take Obama's cock out of their mouth.
They will, however, make it look as though they're getting 'tough' with him.

Wow, the guy was just not getting it. I work for a gov't agency (US & Canadian) and our public meetings are public meetings. Any yokel can come off the street and start berating us with questions. I really hate when governments tout transparency as one of their goals, because I have yet to see them live up to it (in Canada, both the liberals and conservatives said it, and Obama in the U.S.).
Even if I were to agree that the MSM "loved" Bush for 6(!?) years, it is nowhere near the level the current MSM has for Obama.
Bush won by less than 3% of the popular vote and started calling his win a "mandate." Most MSM outlets started calling his win a mandate. FDR had a mandate, Reagan had a mandate, Bush's mandate makes Clinton's wins out to be unprecidented landslides.
He jumped on an aircraft carrier, and said it was mission accomplished, and it's still not accomplished, in either Iraq nor Afghanistan (Iraq's not secured, and Afghanistan isn't either, not that I fault the people in the military), but everyone was parroting the rosy picture then... I mean, really, after the fact sure: the fallacy was uncovered reported and nothing happened because at the time, it was just another news item. When people like Anne Coulter are on CNN and given credibility (if you've ever read her books, they're a scream), yeah, George and the way-right wingers got kid gloves.
I'm not arguing that Obama's getting an easy ride either, but MSM isn't liberally biased (If you want proof, I'll give you a laundry list of reading.. open invitation)... they're out to sell you news, they don't really care which angle the news is cast in as long as it grabs eyeballs and dollars.
