Beck over at fox news is blaming it on muslim's and liberals, the white nationalists want to know why it is such a big story since people get killed every day (maybe because it was at a museum adjacent to the national mall), and the liberals are calling out the recent rise in right wing extremists. Gawker mentioned the stormfront forums in the story yesterday, so i went and checked it out to see what they were talking about, and those people are lunatics.
That guy was just a nut... The media is trying to make it a political issue and blame the right for this. Like hatred wasn't running rampant when Bush was president....

I haven't seen anyone saying people who lean to the right are with this nutjob. They just said right wing extremists, just like left wing extremists. That's like saying anyone who leans to the left is a member of PETA or a hippie....oh wait, people say that all the time
i recall a few people in here considering anyone who was on the left a hippie, but they may have been griff calling them hippies. Either way it's irrelevant, this guy can't really be considered a right wing extremist being that he is against a lot of what the right wing believes in. Here's another thing that caught my attention that I have not seen mentioned anywhere.
Let's look at the differences in outcomes between this incident and the immigration center or V Tech shooting incidents.
1. Armed man walks into building.
2. Armed man begins shooting.
3. Other people with firearms are present. 3. No one else is armed.
4. Assailant begins shooting.
5. Other armed individuals return fire. 5. Assailant takes his time and shoots people one by one.
6. Assailant is shot. 6. Police arrive 30+ minutes later
Result - Assailant is shot and threat is over but one guard does die at the hospital. Assailant takes his own life after killing over a dozen people.
7. The Left calls for more gun control.

good call, but I don't think gun control has an effect on armed security guards, which is who shot the assailant. Either way I think it's obvious guns aren't the problem, millions and millions of people have guns, but they don't go shooting people up. The only gun rules I agree with are the ones preventing kids and people with a record of mental instability from buying guns
