Nobody bitched when they did it to cigarettes and beer (I don't drink or smoke), now they are setting their sights on fast-food. How long until only government-sanctioned ads are available for viewing?

First cigarettes and liquor ads were banned and no one said anything.

It's not just on TV though. Banning smoking except blah... Banning sagging pants... Now TV ads... Gay marriage... Excessive income...
It's always fine when it doesn't affect you. But that's not what the government is for.
And I'm pretty sure this has been accomplished already, I know around here fast foods are banned from advertising in schools, etc. It's not the advertisers, it's the parents that tempt kids to be quiet and they'll get to go to McDonalds.

but it's not a ban on television liquor advertisment, as opposed to television cigarette commercials, which there are none. they are still advertising liquor even if it is or isn't consumed...
Take this however you want, but American TV has no shame in its commercials. Commercials about yeast infections, hemorrhoids, genital warts and herpes.....I mean, there is NO shame. There is a price for everything here. And I say American TV because I have satellites that get shows from ALLLLLLLL over the world, and I have never seen commercials as crude as the ones you see here.
And I am NOT talking about sex based commercials, like the ones posted above. I am talking about the other aforementioned stuff.
