Figured I'd be the first one to say it.

I look forward to giving my money those who better deserve it. I worked hard for it, why should I let them "suffer".

Yeah for higher taxes, higher unemployment, higher energy costs, higher crime rates and more illegals.

Getting to keep the money I earned was getting way overrated anyway.
Fail.

It is funny. All the girls in the office were voting for Obama. Last Thursday (the day before pay day) they could not afford to get lunch and were universally complaining about being broke. Next year the Bush tax cuts expire so their taxes will go up 5%. There will be additional taxes that will more than likely go through. These girls will not be eating on Tuesdays. I really can not understand how people are so damn dumb.

Hey guys, we elected a President, not a KING. Let's see what he can actually do, before we start whining about what he promised to do.

How sad that we actually have to hope the president elect doesn't keep his promises.

*shiver* at the thought of Palin being in the white house.
I wonder if McCain would have picked a different VP if things would be different.

Very unlikely... Someone else may have brought on more independents, but it would have kept more of the base at home. The biggest problem with McCain was exactly what the Obama campaign managed to completely neutralize with independents: He was too much of a Maverick and that has not gone down easy with the republican base for the past few years.
Obama managed to paint McCain as a second Bush and the republican base wasn't sold on the idea that McCain would be conservative enough. Palin actually brought the fire back to his campaign with the base, but, again, the Obama campaign was successful in painting her as inexperienced even though she was only a VP. The "one heartbeat away" line was ridiculous if one just looked at Obama's own qualifications, but it worked.
Here's hoping Obama manages to be a good president. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't be much happier with McCain in the oval office, maybe more relieved, but far from happy.
