Default Tennessee football

Fucktards. Schiano was COMPLETELY vetted by the Buccaneers AND Ohio State before working at either. Gets the job at Tenn, then it is rescinded.

What a bunch of fucktards. I hope he gets the $20M he signed for.

^cuz the idiots think this is 1998 and Phil Fulmer should be AD though he has zero experience and that Jon Gruden wants to be their coach.

Schiano is a proven coach. Took dumpster fire Rutgers and made them competitive.

I too hope he gets the $20M.

Yeah, Tennessee fucked him over, but the only signed document was a "Memo of Understanding," lol. He ain't getting squat from that shit.........

Tennessee has had a Jon Gruden fetish for years, he tells them no everytime but they still have hope.

I hope UT remains trash for the next 25 years, a program that listens to the fans will always suck.

UT Admin is terrified of pissing off their Alumni and fans for the third time. Two shit hires in a row with Drooly and the Cliche Dumbass have them on edge. Not to mention, again, the Jon Gruden fanciful hope.

Nismom, what's with all the Tennessee love for Chucky about?

It's my understanding that, even though he's not from here, it's a "hometown boy" type of situation since he did go to college here and was AC. He has a lot of love for TN, and they for him, which is understandable. I just think that he doesn't plan on coming back EVER, or he would have by now, he's just afraid of shutting that door and wants to keep his options open. It's sad he wastes everyone's time, though, talking about deals and contracts he KNOWS he's not gonna sign.

He is STILL a great coach though, IMHO.

We need Tennessee to be good again since they are Bama’s permanent opponent.

This. If he was to come back, it would have happened by now.

Mike Leach to Tennesse, Jimbo to Texas A&M, Herm Edwards to Arizona State (?) Mullen leaves Miss St for Florida and of course Chip Kelly to UCLA.... the irony of coaches leaving for more money while NONE of the kids get a dime seem wrong.

You mean besides a free college education, room and board, tutors, personal trainers, access to premium facilities for weightlifting/nutrition/studying?

^ What is that worth, $100k for 4 year? Alabamas football team brings in somewhere around 45 million a year. Not sure what Duke or UNC do in basketball but I sure it's up there. I know there's no way to pay players as the swim team will start demanding money. Let the kids sell their game worn jersey, sign autographs or get a free tattoo without penalty. As long as they don't go the Reggie Bush route, I don't think that hurts anyone.

The whole system is corrupt but there is no quick fix nor do the one's making money care to bother.

1.5 BILLION dollars.....more than the GDP of some countries.

^ Bamas defensive/positional coach for 4 (I think) National titles, they were turned down by 9 guys after the Schiano debacle but ended up with a guy who should do a decent job.
