So...what would you trade your B15 in for? Let's keep it real, of course I'd love to trade mine in for a GT-R or a Lexus LS460, but I know damn well that ain't happenin' anytimes soon.
Top of my list - that Mazdaspeed 3. Trying to make that happen as we speak
I'm also tempted by that Cobalt SS, the supercharged one.
I was tempted by a Mustang (you'd be surprised how many people debate on the Mazda forums between it an the Mazdaspeed 3), but I don't want to have to mod it just to reach the handling level of what I already have.
Temptation, temptation. If I have two cars like that, all I'll do is want to mod them both, and be broke for a year! I already know of about $1000 in mods I will do to that mazdaspeed the first 6 months of having it. Of course, I could always give it to my girl, and she can drop that crappy Sebring.
I also thought about the Evo, but I need better gas mileage than it delivers. Already expensive enough using premium, but to get poor gas mileage on top of it....I put 25K a year on a car, so I need something that will approach 30mpg highway, and definitely not drop below 20mpg city.

the evo would be on my top list..if you look hard enough you can find a decent low mileage evo 8 for around $25-30k..
I rode in an HHR last week. Not an SS but the thing had a crappy interior, suspension crashed over bumps/potholes, and there was significant body lean because of so much mass up top.
If I were going to replace the Spec V with something else in the same category, it would definitely be a MS3 even though there are a few little nit-picky things I don't like about it.
If I was going to get something more expensive (25-30K) I'd have a harder time deciding.
But if I was going to get back into a $35K car, it would definitely be a G.

Yeah, I went ahead and did it. The dealership (Priority Mazda) hooked me up last time I bought a car for the ex, so I tried them out. He took $1500 off, so I really couldn't pass it up.
'Tis the 2008.5 Mazdaspeed 3, Grand Touring edition, 94 miles on the odometer. The Grand Touring option just adds the HID headlights, rain sensing wipers, I did buy the coverage package, which even includes if it's stolen, it gets paid off and $5k towards buying a new one. Free oil changes for life, free inspections, etc etc.
Sucker is wicked fast! I mean, you can granny it and be just fine, but mash that pedal down, and anything after about 3000rpms, hold on! First mod (after my Playa piano keys lol) is the short shifter bushings (2nd to 3rd shift is a little dicey), rear motor mount inserts for more wheel hop control, and a Cobb WAI, dynoed for 16hp to the wheels. The exhaust note is deep. In fact, this may be the first car I don't throw a dynomax muffler on.
The 2008's have both dynamic stability control and traction control. Time to go school the thousands of Honda ricers around here!
