Default Handbrake light stuck on?

Hey guys,

my roommate owns a 97 Mazima auto, and the handbrake light is on all the time, even when the handbrake is not engaged. When I *do* engage the handbrake, the light gets slightly brighter.

Anyone have problems with this kind of thing before? Any fix-it ideas?

^ what he said, the ebrake lights can come on when there's little brake fluid in the master cylinder. Check it out then get back with us!

Heh. I remember when my 95 240sx used to do that same thing. That used to bug me and the thing that upset me was there must of been a leak with my brake flluid because it would constantly go low quickly and that light would let me know. Even though its irratating, its nice that it would come on to notify you about that.
