Default Management Change at Nissan North America

NASHVILLE, TN (Feb. 1, 2008) – Gary Frigo, currently managing director, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd., will be appointed regional vice president for Nissan North America’s Northeast region, effective April 1.

Frigo succeeds Al Castignetti, who recently was named vice president and general manager, Nissan Division at NNA’s headquarters in Nashville.

As regional vice president, Frigo will be responsible for managing all aspects of Nissan Division’s Northeast regional operations, including service, sales and parts distribution of Nissan products to 191 dealers in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and eastern Pennsylvania. The Northeast region is based in Somerset, N.J.

“I’m pleased that Gary will be rejoining the Nissan North America team after his time in Europe,” Castignetti said. “He brings to his new position in the United States valuable perspective and experience he gained in Europe.”

Frigo, who will report to Castignetti, began his Nissan career in the Northeast region in 1986. Since then, he has held a variety of U.S.-based positions in dealer operations, regional marketing and sales management before taking on his most recent role.

Paul Wilcox, currently vice president, strategy and marketing, Nissan Europe, will succeed Frigo as managing director, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd., on April 1.

Frigo holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from St. Bonaventure University, and a master’s in business administration from Pittsburgh State University.

In North America, Nissan operations include automotive styling, design, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.
