- Frederique Le Greves Moving to Renault-
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 6, 2008) – Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA), today announced that Alan J. Buddendeck has been appointed Vice President, Corporate Communications, succeeding Frederique Le Greves who will transfer to Renault Headquarter as of July 1st. Her assignment at Renault will be announced later.

Buddendeck, whose appointment is effective today, will be responsible for all internal, product and corporate communications and will oversee communications activities in the national and regional U.S. offices as well as in Canada and Mexico. Le Greves has been in the position for nearly four years. They will transition until mid-June.

“We thank Frederique for her work and contributions while at NNA. During her time here, she spearheaded the integration of internal and external communications operations across the Americas,” said Dominique Thormann, NNA’s Senior Vice President, Administration and Finance. “Now, we welcome Alan to Nissan and look forward to his contributions drawing from a successful career in global brand building and consumer-driven marketing communications and public relations.”

Most recently, Buddendeck was senior director, global public relations and corporate communications, for Motorola Mobile Devices, based in Libertyville, Ill. There, he was responsible for global public relations focused on business strategy, brand communications and reputation management, investor relations and financial, employee and crisis communications. Prior to this role, Buddendeck was global director of brand communications for Motorola’s Semiconductor Products business in Austin, Texas. During his tenure with Semiconductor, he held various strategic roles including an assignment in Hong Kong as director of communications for the business unit’s Asia Pacific Region.

Before joining Motorola in 1997, Buddendeck worked in marketing and corporate communications with NCR Corporation; Aggregate Technologies, Inc.; Alan Joseph & Company, Inc.; and Dayton Newspapers, Inc., all in Dayton Ohio.
Buddendeck received a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in theology, both from the University of Dayton, where he also served as an adjunct professor and lecturer for the College of Arts and Sciences from 1990 through 1996.

Le Greves joined NNA in July 2004 from Nissan Europe, where she served as vice president of communications. Before joining Nissan in 2003, she worked as communications director for Delphi Corp. in Paris, where she was responsible for corporate, internal and external communications, and managed the European communications team.

In North America, Nissan's operations include automotive styling, design, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.
