Well, I had to think of something to be the first to post in this section! Haha

Anyways......

From my experience, Greddy Type RS blow off valves leak. I've tried about 4 different ones, every time they leak after a while. The Type S seems to work better, but I'm switching over to a Tial

Type RS and Type S both leak

Take them apart, add teflon tape to every fitting, and you've elimated leaks.

Ive not many good things about Greddy's BOV's. A few few guys from school running SR's and RB's are religiously against them.

Thats my $.02 lol

5 years total with the same Greddy Type S (Altima...250whp and the 240..400+whp) and not had a single problem. Probably 20,000+ miles on it as well.

With recirculated setups, you'll want to remove the inner smaller spring as well, to help.

There are countless FWD Sentra guys that have run the Type S forever with no issues (once doing the above procedure as well). I've got one friend with a 350 whp Sentra that has been using his since 2001!

The Type S that's on my neighbors SR works great. He went through 2 RS's as well as me. All of them sucked. We tried doing the thread seal on his last one, and it still leaked, lol. Oh well

Are you sure it was an actuall RS and not a 'greddy style'?

I can't think of anyone first hand that has had an issue with them leaking, unless not properly adjusted. I do know the RS (IMO at least) is more prone to surging at lower boost levels....

i just got my ssqv in the mail. its not the newest style so im not sure what to expect. ive got a question for ace though... why are there a ton of dudes on zilvia running jwt ecus with their sr's and vta and not having running problems? are they just too chickenshit to admit it or what?

They probably don't know anybetter, or have their idle cranked up super high to compensate.

There will always be the one or two that have no issues, but 95 percent of the general population with maf cars have problems.

To me, as stock acting as possible is THE ONLY way to fly.

For me Type RS and Type S both work fine, its all depend where are your running your beauty.
i have more then 18,000 miles on types S and still going good for me
