Default Best bang for my radiator buck?

i need a new radiator. no 2 ways about it.
bottom 3/4ths of the radiator is cold, lower hose is cold, upper hose is hot and rock hard, lower heater hose is hot, upper is cold and gauge reads a line below H. i think the radiator is extremely clogged.
new water pump, new thermostat, new 16lb rad cap, altima dual fans with electronic thermostat. engine has almost 500 miles on it.
ive been looking at koyos, mishimotos and even corvette single core (2" aluminum core) and so far, the 2 row koyos seem to be about the best buy - 165 with free shipping.

discuss.
i need one and i need it fast. i dont want to blow up this engine with something this stupid.

are they ALL-aluminum or just al core and plastic endtanks?

can always try a 240 radiator and weld on new bracket tabs.

nismo thermostat via courtesy nissan
running a NORMAL rad cap is JUST FRIGGIN FINE.
get yourself some dual fal 220 fans, puller, my god those bitches can pull. When i first powered mine i had some extra zip lock bags on top of the vc and they got blown out of the way like lightweight feathers.

running altima fans with electronic thermostat and a 300zxtt cap.
drilled a 1/8th" hole in the t-stat and solved all overheating problems.

drilling a hole in the t stat eh.. interesting. can you expand on how that increases the capacity for the thermostat to run the entire system cooler?

when you drill the hole in the t-stat and place the hole at the 12 o'clock position, it allows for air to flow thru the t-stat and not get stuck in it. more air is bled from the system during the initial bleed and it also allows any steam that builds during driving to pass thru the t-stat instead of waiting for it to open.
its an old domestic trick that can be applied to just about any engine.
ever notice that some t-stats have a jiggle valve in them? its simply a hole with a brass ball valve stuck thru it. its job is what i just described.
another good trick is to use a balanced thermostat. used in one in my 375hp 350sbc for years and never had any problems.
