Default interior mods and subwoofer wanted for super tight bass that is NOT boomy

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to liven up the beige interior on a blk 2002 3.5 SE or know what brand of subwoofer I could add on very simply that would give me good n tight bass with about 3oo watts to it? Boston Acoustics 12.5 PRO? HX2by RF, Audiobahn, or those weird square KIckers?

if you don't have leather, go with a nice two-tone leather katzkin kit. go with beige and another interior color (black would be ideal if your interior is beige and black). also, if you don't have a woodgrain dash, go with a good carbon fiber dash kit with that. those things will liven up the interior of your car. they are nice classy mods (not too cheap though). also, go with a nice headunit, possibly a tv

pictures of mine for example...it's a charcoal, but it'll give you ideas

I would say go with a Audiobahn amp and sub, or MTX amp or sub, either are very good quality. MTX is truest to their power ratings, so when their amp says it 300 watts, you are getting 300 watts, unlike brands like Pioneer and Sony for example, their "1200 Watt Amp" is really only putting out about a quarter of that. And those "weird square Kickers" are the L5, L7, and the Solo X, all being reasonable expensive, the L5 starting at around $350-$400, and the Solo X being ridiculous, starting at around $1000. But in my opinion, DO NOT bother with Kicker. Many people might argue it, but I've had nothing but bad experiences with Kicker, and I wouldn't recommend their products to my enemies.

If you are looking to add something smaller to your car that will add some nice bass, I'd look into the Infinity basslink II. It won't add a lot of "thump" but will give you a really nice range and crutchfield.com sells it with the add-on amp for driving the rest of your speakers. you could tap into the rear speaker wires for audio (you don't need RCA from the HU if you have speaker level inputs on the amp/sub) and then run wire back out to the rear speakers from the Basslink II's add-on amp. It also won't take up half your trunk either.

The basslink is probably the best choice. Square kickers will sound like trash if you want SQ. Also I would consider somethign that is not so mainstream. Maybe even a DLS sub or a Rainbow sub, though these are/can be pricey. There are WAY to many subjective choices out there. I loved my RF hx2's however they are old now.

Do some research, and read reviews, come up with a budget and then you should be good to go.
