Default Install problem
Alright I have a slight problem. I know my car audio but I havent seen many cars smoke under the hood. I have 1 Pioneer IMPP 15 running off a Drive Crunch 1200w amp. Yesterday I just installed a V-Power Alpine amp for my component speakers and I got a 4 guage kit. I dont know what it is but I think the power cable connected to the battery terminal might have something to do with that because it hasnt done that before. Any advice?

Smoke coming from under the hood? How's the connection at the battery terminal looking? If there's too much resistance, it would start to heat up. Heat makes stuff smoke. ;) Sure it's not another problem that happened to manifest as soon as you upgraded?

I would check the power wire connection as well, could be loose/sparking.
