You could get a z2 refurb for 1050ish... refurbed z1 for 750 or so... Not a bad price, but not the deal of the century.

I have a D3 and love the hell out of it. Make sure you override the parking brake stuff ;) (My D3 thinks my car is at all times parked with the ebrake on, works much nicer that way, not for sure you can override on the z1, but if you can't, I wouldn't buy it. You'd have to pull over everytime you input anything or change playlists on your ipod etc.)

lol! Installation sounds hard but we'll see how it goes. I heard the differences between the z1,2, and 3 are only software so I don;t mind getting the older z1. I'm picking it up this weekend!

Get the Z2 or the D3.

The z1 is out dated. I got my D3 for 600$ shipped to Canada new about 6 months ago so you can definitely find something out there!

If the only reason you want a Z1 is for the hard drive, just get a D3 with an 80gb iPod and you are all set.
