Gas mileage
So based on the gas mileage thread in OT, I decided to run my QX4 to empty, and then fill up and see what I get.
280 miles on a full tank
I was impressed and happy, cuz its a 16 gallon tank. That equals 17.5 mpg for a V6 in city driving. Good for a heavy truck, in my opinion.

I recently ran my 96 Altima GXE (standard tranny) for 371 miles straight, 345 of them pure highway. The total fuel fill-up came out to 10 gallons, so 37 mpg. Not bad at all for a 12-yr old 4-banger.

I get less than your 17.5mpg, I'm usually in the 14-16mpg range.:th_thumbsdownsmiley

every time i take my altima on a long road trip, its the same results. i get 350 at the beginning of the trip and about 600 miles or so into it, it jumps to 450 a tank and stays that way till the end of the trip. love the gas mileage my first gen gets. now, with it being turbo'd, im not sure what it will get, but it would get lucky to even ever see a road trip again.

you dont have to floor it everytime you're driving....and i wasnt driving slow like an old man either i say most of the trip i was between 70 and 75 a few times at 80 and the highest i went was 85 when i was on the 205 Freeway
all you have to do is take off slowly...instead of reaching hwy speed at the beginning of the ramp get there slightly after the on ramp, put in Neutral going down hills.

I don't know if I am expecting too much from my 91 Sentra, but if I am doing mostly city driving I get about 350km per tank. If there's quite a bit of highway driving I get 450 to 500km per tank.

Checked it again after another fill up, and I got another 250 miles. I am happy as can be, considering its a V6 SUV....

400 miles out of each tank is where it's at, fill up with 16 gallons usually
