Default Extra wire harness in trunk of 09 sedan

I have a spare wire harness/bundle hanging down in the trunk of my car. (bose w/nav)
I can't for the life of me figure out what it could be for. Everything is hooked up and functioning as I think it should.

Anyone have an idea what this is for any why Nissan would just leave it hanging like that on a fully decked out model?

XM is in and working, bose amp (in pic on the right) is in and working, AM/FM works. Nothing seems out of place other than this extra cable.
Was like this when I picked it up from the Dealership. I asked someone there but they didn't know.
I did not pull the black clip out, nor can I find where it would clip into in the body either.

do you have a spoiler installed?

my guess would be that it's to connect to the spoiler brake light if you don't have one already

doesnt look like it'd be long enough to reach the spoiler area on the trunk

The spoiler light and all the other lights are functioning properly.

Below are some other pics (though not very good since it was dark outside).

Picture below is facing up at the amp area as if you were laying in the trunk.
you can see the plug is wrapped in a grey piece of tape.

wtf dude, I would not let that fly. Tell your dealership you wanna look in the trunk of another new one and see if that one has a wiring harness hanging down like that, and if not where it goes.

Well, I got some sort of answer on another nissan forum.
Looks like this is normal to have this extra cable. I found another person that had an identical car and it turns out he has the cable too. It's just not dangling down. Apparently the grey tape is supposed to hold it up against another wire bundle.

My best guess is that this is for the XM unit in the non-nav versions. With the nav it must be in the head unit.

I'll just use a wire tie and put it back in it's place and not give it another thought.

Below is his car showing the same cable.

yeah, i was going to say....i ran into this before at the dealership. some altimas have a module hooked up to it, and some dont. it depends on an option that you got with the car. cant remember what it was though. but they use the same rear deck harness for all the altimas. from base to fully loaded.
