No you can't have my old ones, they wouldn't fit your car and the piece that holds in place broke on both of them. They also want me to send them a picture of the old ones smashed but I'll think about letting you have them if you fly out here and do the install on my car

I think he left it behind the D3 somewhere... I think that's what he said... and I can't see it... so it probably is... reception is great... but if I have any problems he'll probably put it by the front windshield...

It is on the metal plate to the left behind the dash.

Worked in the past, worked again here ;)

I think im going to put it into the glove compartment because theres a reset button on the back that might be needed to be pressed if something happens. Did anyone else put it in the glove compartment?

D3 in the dash!! A/C Controls not in all the way yet... Panel sitting on the ground (right side) is where the Bluetooth module and the power box for the reverse camera went

That's where we put it...

Its behind the panel with the red circle in this picture... along with the power box for the reverse camera....

How'd you remove that panel? And did you get a ipod interface cable? Where did you decide to stick the ipod? I originally was going to put the bluetooth in the glove compartment and lead the ipod wire into the compartment in front of the shifter.

That panel just pops off, fairly easy too. Pull from the edge closer to the firewall towards the passenger side.

His ipod is in the cubby below the d3.

Yepp... I just did it now... to get a picture of the inside for you guys...

Pull from the bottom middle... the reach for the end that's closest to the engine bay... and that part of it kinda swings off... then the front part has three tabs that hold it in... just pull outward and they'll pop off...

and yeah... ipod is behind the shifter... the wire is kinda long though :p

The first two are pictures of the ipod (my sister's video ipod :p) in its case...

Then the next ones are of the panel taken off... the silver/grey box is the power box for the reverse camera.... and I think the one behind it with the buttons (reset) is the Bluetooth... I should have looked... but the car was in the garage so I had to climb in through the driver's side... and I didn't think about it :p

but you get the idea!!

BTW, you might have to reset the BT unit... I did... it wouldn't connect to/find my phone... or something like that... I just remember it wouldn't work properly until we reset it....

so... get everything hooked up... turn on the car... either acc. or on... and see if it'll work... if not... reset the BT while the D3 is still on... then cycle the on button and try again.... Good Luck! and take pictures!!!

And you can see where the three tabs from the side closest to the seats fit in.... into those slots...

Okay since im just waiting for my dash to get here, i might as well make sure i know what im doing. I have more then enough supplies, even some extra 18 gauge and 20 gauge wire in case. Now i want to see what i can do while im waiting for parts to arrive.

Okay since i dont feel like typing and microsoft paint was already open.... Is this right guys?!?!

I want to see if i can do all that crap first and then when the plastic part arrives, it will be mostly plug and play excluding the splicing of the VSS and the rear light splices.

DO YOUR PAPER!

haha... don't worry... I didn't get mad or say anything! I was just happy you made the time and got it working!

Maybe you can clean it up a bit this summer?

BTW, guys, can you keep an eye and an ear out... before and after you do your install...

after everything was installed... I notice a... whistling... whining... almost electronic sound... when I accelerate... and when the RPMs go up... and its more noticeable when the RPMs are going down...

and I'm POSITIVE that it was NOT there before the install... :(
