Altima Bose Stereo speaker replacement?
I posted this in the audio section but didn't get anywhere, and it can depend on the particular system in the car so here we go.
I have the bose system (with nav, but that shouldn't matter)
I want to replace the 2 rear speakers that put out all the bass. So the bose system runs on 2 ohms, this we know, can you replace them with 2 ohm shallow subs? Some companies are making various sub sizes now like 6x9's, some in 2 ohm.
If not due to lack of power, can you put something like an infinity Kappa speaker in there since they are 2 ohm speakers? Or is it liek the old maxima's where they have some sort of built in sound equalization or leveling that wouldn't be compatible with the aftermarket speaker?
any thoughts or ideas? My reason for wanting to replace them is the back 2 where most of the bass comes from seem to break up with too heavy of a bass line and high volume, same problem i had in my caddy.
