Default Crankshaft Position Sensor

My check engine light came on about a week ago, and advance said the code was the crankshaft position sensor, i changed the one on the top of the motor but i don't no how to get to the one on the back any one know how to or is it impossible for a diy some one please help

Do you have a 2.5 or a 3.5?

The crank sensor is generally installed near the crank which means that it would be mounted low on the motor.
Sounds like you changed a cam position sensor not a crank position sensor.
